Fatima Trip

This is our 3rd Fatima trip since arriving in October/November last year and was the most emotional and maningful of all. The main purpose for this trip was to give thanks for Tatang's successful operation and for the negative result of my throat biopsy. We also took along with us a friend who was very 'overwhelmed with the experience and vowed to come along with us with his wife in October and then next year when his mother-in-law comes for a visit.

The pilgrims were everywhere and policemen were posted in strategic points starting from the freeway exit for assistance and crowd/traffic control. There were tents set up as well as blankets, inflatable mattresses and cardboard boxes spread out on the parks, parking lots, sidewalks and even under the trees in the sanctuary grounds. All accommodations were fully booked due to the anniversary of the apparitions and we were ready to sleep in the car but got lucky enough to get a hotel room about 20 kms. from Fatima.
